G.R.E.A.T gets grant

The G.R.E.A.T Housing project is proud to be part of the Investment Readiness Program funded by the Government of Canada's SI/SF Strategy. The non-profit Fourth Pig, who is the lead partner in the G.R.E.A.T Housing project, received the funding. As Muskokaregion.com reported,

The Muskoka Community Foundation, in partnership with The County Foundation and the Barrie Community Foundation, have awarded $470,400 in funding to eight organizations in the Central Ontario region as part of the Government of Canada’s Investment Readiness Program, including three in Muskoka.

This $50 million renewed investment supports social purpose organizations, such as social enterprises, non-profits, charities and co-operatives, as they strengthen Canada’s social finance market while supporting their communities.

The G.R.EA.T. Housing Project will include creating a community development co-op to allow for community investment in this great project.
